Joined Andry Montgomery 1966 from an ad agency/media background. Had earlier that year organised (and lived on for 5 months) an exhibition train, "The New Railways", an idea he had conceived for British Railways Board. Initially for Montgomery developed first PR, press and visitor promotion department. Was concurrently space selling for new sections of The Building Exhibition, the Componex feature 1967and Metrication 1969. Other first ventures : Interbou Johannesburg, ScotHot Glasgow, IFE Olympia, Interior Design International Olympia, Sound & Vision NEC. Marketing Director Interbuild 1979-83. In 1984 initiated London's first international contemporary art fair, ART/London at Barbican, expanding to Olympia and staged annually until 1991. In 1986 also started ART/LA in Los Angeles, our second annual international art fair which again attracted leading galleries, collectors and new art buyers worldwide. Brian has enjoyed his long career with in marketing, media and promotion for Montgomery projects in UK, USA, Australia, India, Japan, Hong Kong, Korea, Zimbabwe, Sudan. As a Consultant, he is frequently in Manchester Square in between leisure pursuits : war historian, school lecturer, photographer Royal Opera and for European Union Orchestra.
